I find them very informative and helpful. I have been seeing some short info-mercials on a product called the Titan Peeler. They say it will peel anything, from potatoes, carrots, onions, and cucumbers to and including pineapple. They also claim that it has a second blade that will shred differant vegetables for salads and things and they show it coming with a small hand attachment that turns it into a mandolin for extra thin slicing.
