Mighty Mendit – Can it Fix Your Furniture?

Mendit, or Mighty Mendit, as they use to call it in the As Seen On TV commercials, is a fluid stuff that bonds pretty much everything that rip, tear or pull apart. It’s well-known that torn fabrics are difficult to repair, therefore many people just throw away their curtains or comforters when they tear apart. The bonding agent in Mendit, that creates a flexible and machine washable bond, adheres to the fibers simply by applying and mending it. This is much easier and faster than sewing, and better than glue, since the bond stays flexible and it can resist to about 50 washes in the washing machine.

Being transparent, Mendit can be used by cat owners to repair scratched pieces of furniture. They won’t look as new, but they will still be usable. It will look much better than other solutions, plus it will be more resistant. While there are people who say that Mighty Mendit is just another glue, packed nicely and more expensive, we found it to be working great and much better than other As Seen On TV products.

My sister is using it for her patchwork and she’s really pleased with it, as she hates sewing. I’ve heard that it can even be used to repair parachutes, so it must be really good if people trust their lives to it. At $19.99 for two large bottles, plus $8.95 for shipping and handling, Mendit is definitely not the cheapest adhesive available. However, its special properties make it an excellent buy, even at this price. If we only think of the price of a new curtain, using Mendit on our old one leaves a lot of money in our pockets.
